Jubilee
Work Day is a special day for JSA and for Jubilee Housing. One Saturday
every fall, volunteers from area companies come to Adams Morgan to
paint, landscape, repair, and improve the apartments that make up
Jubilee Housing. Residents and community leaders work together to
accomplish in one day, repairs that would otherwise take months to
complete. The event provides companies the opportunity to bring employee
teams together to donate their time and make a real impact in the
community.
The 2009
Jubilee Work Day made a tremendous impact in the community and involved
over 200 volunteers.
Projects included painting, landscaping, power washing entrances, adding amentities to the playground and cleaning-up common areas of the apartment buildings which house over 250 families.
